Are you a carpet fan, or do you like polished floor boards throughout the house, or are you sold on the idea of floating floors?
There are many different types of floor materials to choose from, and each type has it's own massive range of colours, so whatever your taste, you will be well covered when you decide to choose your floor covering/material.
We have floor material information for all the rooms of your home, whatever it be. From the kitchen with cork parketry, to the bathroom with marble (image to the right) tiles, to the main living areas with floating floors, we will have it listed. But if for some reason you know of a material that isn't listed, please contact us to tell us about it and have it listed here.
New materials are being discovered all the time, and as we find them, they will be included in this list, so stay tuned.
Carpet flooring
Still the most widely used and loved flooring material - carpet. Soft, attractive, widest selection available, easy to install and relatively cheap to buy.
Floating floor flooring
This type of flooring is becoming more and more popular, and this is due to it's ease of installation (anyone can do it), attractive finish and neutral temperature under foot.
All floating floors have an underlay that makes the floor 'float' on it's supporting base. This underlay acts as a cushion and an insulating layer so whether it be winter or summer, you won't get the major temperature variations underfoot. Just a nice even temperature year round.
With this flooring it is much harder to break things when dropped on the floor, making installations in kitchens ideal, and due to their tightly interlocking joints, cleaning the floor is a very easy task. These floors are mostly coated with a laminate finish, so they are very durable.
Add all this to it's 25 year guarantee (differs with manufacturers), and ever increasing range and you can see why it is becoming so popular.
